Prior to deploying any VIPRE Business Agents, ensure appropriate policies are setup:Confirm communication to the VIPRE Console from the target system:
Check the Communication section of the Policy to ensure the Policy/Update servers are correct.
Open an Administrative Command Prompt on the Target System
Enter 'telnet ConsoleAddress 18082' using the address of the system hosting the Console.
A blank page indicates a successful connection, an error indicates connectivity trouble

How to deploy a VIPRE Business Agent (
Push Installation)
Click Here for the minimum requirements for a Push Installation
Open the VIPRE Business Console and highlight 'Windows Policies' on the left
Navigate to the 'Unprotected Computers' tab and locate the target system
Select Install Now and select the intended Policy
A 'Needs Credentials' status indicates the Console needs a Domain Admin's credentials.
If the system is not listed, it can be manually entered at the bottom left
Once the installer completes, the Agent should move to the policy's 'Protected Computers' tab
IMPORTANT:Click here if deploying to a Workgroup
How to install a VIPRE Business Agent (Installation Package)
Open the VIPRE Business Console
Select 'Agent Installation' and choose an appropriate installation package
MSI: Standard Install Package (Recommended)
EXE: Microinstaller Option
MST: Advanced Deployment Option (More Info)
Run the resulting package on the intended system
Once the installer completes, the Agent should appear into the policy's 'Protected Computers' tab
Note:An MSI is the only way to select installation drive. (The local application data directory will still be used)

VIPRE Business has an agent that will run on Macintosh. Installation Package will need to be used as the console does not support a Push Deployment to Macs:
Installation Package Creation
Open the VIPRE Business Console
Right-Click the intended Mac Policy and select 'Properties'
Open Communication and confirm the Policy Server's Address and port number
Select Apply (If modified) and OK
Right-Click inside of 'Protected Computers' and select Add and Install Agent(s)
Choose Mac from the drop down menu, click continue
Click Save As and save the .zip file
Click continue, then Finish
Installing the VIPRE Business Mac Agent(All Versions)
Transfer the previously-created Installation Package to the Target system
Extract the .DMG file from the .zip file
Double-Click the .DMG file
Run the ThreatTrack Security VIPRE Business Install.pkg
Compete the install wizard
Provide the communication settings collected from the steps above when prompted
